It’s baseball time again!
On April 3, 2017, five residents from Life Care Center of Sierra Vista, Arizona, got to take part in America’s favorite pastime at a baseball game at Buena High School.
Wonderful Arizona weather, a picnic lunch and the crack of the bat was in store for the residents. Anne Gallagher, a Boston Red Sox fan, kept score and gave play-by-play commentary to the other residents, while Larry Little spoke of baseball strategy.
Quinardo Castillo remembered when he used to play baseball.
“This is the best time I’ve had in a long time,” said Castillo.
The Sierra Vista community recognized the facility group during the game, making the residents feel like baseball stars.
“The game brought back fond memories for all and proved to be a memorable outing,” said Debora Steele, activity director.
